Not bad, but the not a very secure cord
I prefer the style when it's tied up for the paperbag look. The main the, however, is due to the stiffness of the facric, the cord that is supposed yo be tied around the waist is also stiff, meaning it doesn't tie very tightly or stay tied for very long.
I've found they fit much better when I put an actual belt around my waist (made a bit awkward since this particular pair purposely didn't have belt loops attached.
Either way, they still look good when tied tightly around the waist, as opposed to being left to look slouchy (since they are incredibly slouchy - not a look I'm incredibly fond of).
