The Wash:

Once the base fabric is dyed, it can then be washed back to create various levels of intensity from solid black to washed blacks and greys
Black dye will fade with excessive washing to lighter shades and subtle wear templates
Cold wash will help reduce fade

The Stretch:

Comfort Stretch is made from a 99% premium Cotton & 1% Elastane
Comfort denim is made with a small percentage of Elastane to provide a little more stretch
Comfort denim will keep its shape, and doesn't require as much 'wearing in'
